ASEV also cooperates with local public employment services, and with local schools in education activities and teachers’ training. The College of Social Sciences (CSS) was established in 1994. The CSS is second biggest private college in Lithuania and has gained the reputation of an advanced institution both among the local community and the regional business sector. VHS Cham is a registered non-profit association in the Upper Palatinate (Bavaria), which operates on a regional level and engages 47 fulltime employees plus about 250 freelancers. It provides courses in the fields of social life, vocational counselling and training, languages, health protection and cultural programmes. Furthermore, VHS Cham carries out vocational preparation courses and the state-run Vocational Schools for Geriatric Nursing and Physical Therapy. VHS Cham has a lot of experience in course development with a particular focus on language and culture (136 courses and 1280 participants per year) and features experience in organising language courses for groups like young adults, senior learners and people from rural areas. Migrants especially benefit from the various German integration courses, which help them to cope with life in Germany and gain better professional prospects. Translex is an education and translation service provider based in Galway, Ireland. In its Language Institute Translex has taught twelve European, Middle Eastern and Asian languages to adults of all ages. It also conducts Spanish language classes for children and provides teacher training for teachers of foreign languages. Translex also manages a translation and interpreting service which to date has provided translations for more than thirty languages. Translex’s teachers have substantial experience in the development of teaching materials. We regularly hold cultural evenings and art exhibitions in our Institute to celebrate the diversity in our community and to encourage friendship between the local population and the recently arrived.

ADPI is a French association created in 1995, based in Paris, which trains and professionalizes young adult migrants ; helps disabled workers (and especially the hearing impaired) find work ; provides examination training for hospital staff and facilities services staff.
Our specificity is to deal with French language learning with this kind of public in great difficulty. The pedagogy we use is called Gattegno Pedagogy also called “Reading in colours”. Indeed, we work with colour charts. The aim of this pedagogy is to subordinate teaching to learning. We also work with different Gattegno software specialized in the learning of writing and reading.
Our objective is to work on the one hand in the field of linguistic competences and on the other hand, on socio-professional projects.
